On rotation:
Sugar Ray - Fly
Ludacris - #1 Spot (Austin Powers)
Ludacris & JD Dupree - Welcome to Atlanta
Chumbawumba - I Get Knocked Down
------
Foot dragging again.
Common sense tells me I should be booking my trip now to get the best price, and yet Im flipping through craigslist looking at laptop listings.
Hm. I thought this trip was important to me.
I think that part of me just wants to spend money on some equipment. But its either or. I cant really have both, or can I?
Hm.
----------
The gods are fuckin' wit me.
I know limitations are good thing, but this is gettin' ridiculous, man. I catch this thing in Craigslist, where a woman needed a MetroPCS phone , so desperate that she was willing to trade a decent P4 laptop for it.
A compaq Evo NC1000 for a MetroPCS phone I picked up for 5 bux. Dude.
I contact the woman, find she is dead serious and needs the phone RIGHT NOW. I pull the phone and the charger to prep it and start pulling on clothes to get going.
What happens?
McClint: dead?
JPennant: norwegian blue
McClint: hahahahahaha
I know, I know. Its eventually all for the best, but maaaaaaaaan.....
--------
One of my mantras now is to not get any equipment or service I dont need or cannot justify.
Its gotta be for a GOOD reason.
JPennant: Ok. Now I realize I NEED a tivo
JPennant: Its for time management
JPennant: so I dont allocate my evenings sitting down and watching reruns of That 70's Show.
mars: lol
JPennant: Its a practical thing. :-)
Plus, there is a "Girlfriends" marathon all weekend on BET... damn.
TiVo. *nod* Time management tool.

My horrorscope the other day:
There are times when my reduced free time chafes and I want to shed those restrictions.
But just because I can, doesnt mean I should.
But, I wanna.
-------
Ive said it before, but sometimes I have to say it again.
Here are the surest ways to get on my bad side:
- Call me 'Big Man'.
Yeah, I know Im a big guy, but that aint my name.
- Not be straight with me.
Im far from stupid.
Dont try to save my feelings, dont tell me if I dont need to know.. but dont lie to me.
I may not like it, but I can deal with bad news or the truth. Really.
I consider it a mark of character.
- Act as if Im sort of stalker.
This is GUARANTEED to get you on my shit list.
WTF? I might be sociable in person and people I like. but I am, in fact, anti-social to the extreme. I will HAPPILY leave people alone.
Other than that, Im chill.
------
Obligations feel restrictive, tethering you to a particular course. Though you long to be in an unattached state, following through with your commitments will be the most liberating thing you can do.

Love it when friends from the East come and visit.
Even though Ive been out west for nigh on 2 and a half years (damn, has it been THAT long???), and the folk I know here are cool, it feels nice to have folk from the East here.
Just feels .. realer.. somehow.
