You have new ideas about what to do next -- don't be afraid to pursue them. Change provides a release from anxiety and tension, even if (heaven forbid!) that change is from bad to worse.
Ive always considered mercury retrograde (which is now over, by toutatis) a period of seismic change, and sho' nuff, thats whats going on.
Speaking of change...
Im excited, but this is gonna be interesting.
I have the feeling it will not be boring. :)
Glinessa: lol...how is that going? school doesn't officially start until Monday and already I feel the foot in my ass
JPennant: Ahh, Thats just the fear talkin'
Glinessa: no...that's the workload and the schedule talking
JPennant: <---- *zen like wisdom and calm*
Glinessa: i already have my reading assignments and I am a research assistant for a professor and i got my first assignment...so the shit's hitting the fan
JPennant: <-- *assumes lotus position and breathes evenly*
JPennant: Wow, I can feel myself levitating
JPennant: you'll be o.k.
Glinessa: i know...working on getting myself organized now
JPennant: What youre experiencing is whats scientifically called...
JPennant: A freakout.
JPennant: You can see the shit hitting the fan in super slo-mo 3D.
Glinessa: lol...happens about 10 times a semester
JPennant: Heheh.. this was funny. I go to class .. and my instructor sez "There are no class books. Why? We are printers." :-)
JPennant: "We can print our own." :-)
JPennant: But times sure have changed since the last time.
JPennant: here is what I need to get for school
JPennant: you ready for this?
JPennant: I need to get a flash drive.
JPennant: Not a zip drive. Not a laptop.
JPennant: Not even a notebook
JPennant: A flash drive.
JPennant: to keep files on different systems.
Glinessa: i have one...i liek it...i need my files portable
JPennant: This feels like the Jetsons, but real. :-)

Berkeley Farmers Market
People have been asking about old pictures.
Unfortunately, most of them (primarily from 1999-2001 and parts of 2002 - 2003) are currently irretrievable.
Still, I do have some from that time. I'll be posting some of them for a bit.

JPennant: Hey, I had chicken katsui ( I think thats what its called) musubi last night.
mars: how'd you like it?
JPennant: Man oh man. Smelled fishy, tasted NICE.
JPennant: they charged 1.85 for it.
mars: smelled fishy?
mars: maybe they fry fish in the oil too
JPennant: yeah, from the nori
mars: nori smells fishy?
JPennant: this one did
mars: so do you like the spam or the katsu one better?
JPennant: It might hurt yer feelings but...
JPennant: the portugese sausage and chicken katsu musubi's were way better.
mars: its ok. no feelings hurt. sometimes i like other musubi better too. depends
JPennant: it was good. I didnt know there were other kinds of musubi's :-)
mars: technically a "musubi" is a rice ball or rice clumped together
mars: you can put whatever you want in it.
mars: i personally like the 7-11 one with spam, egg, and furikake
JPennant: ooh, I never had egg on it
mars: its like breakfast all in one. haha
JPennant: so, it looks like Im going to 7-11 in Honolulu
mars: hehe its convenient
mars: tho...if you are in waikiki you probably will hit ABC stores more haha
mars: they are worse than starbucks
mars: every corner..and then some
JPennant: Ive heard of ABC.. seen their calenders (rawr)
JPennant: are they supermarkets, or convenience stores?
JPennant: ah, ok :-)
mars: they have everything you need
JPennant: Ok, I hope I dont get to hawaii and go "I could REALLY live here". I wanna avoid that trap.
mars: well, stay in the overcrowded waikiki and you won't heehee
mars: my cousins who come to visit every year are so tired of it
mars: "its nice to visit but i wouldn't want to live here"
mars: food is always good, but you could get that anywhere
JPennant: where do they live normally?
JPennant: mm, ok
mars: ok jp..time for hawaiian food at the inlaws. hehe
JPennant: ooh, fun :-)
mars: i'll think about you when i'm downing the kalua pig, ckn long rice, and lomi salmon
mars: hehehe. ttyl!
JPennant: laytah :-)
mars: (just had to throw that in...maybe you'll come to visit sooner.) :-)
