I didnt even notice it, until it suddenly moved as i peered down an old gopher hole.
Until I got here, I didnt realize California is awash with spiders. They are EVERYWHERE, and the one to fear in this state is the brown recluse. My lip swelled up when one bit me as I slept.
Jeebus.
