Water runs downhill

Water runs downhill, originally uploaded by Itinerant.

San Francisco, most of it, is built on top of verdant nature, and nature will reaasert itself in surprising ways.

Twentieth and Church streets is hilly and its not surprising that it used to be a waterway, paved over. I iwalked up the building at the corner and saw the water FLOWING out of the foundation of this building with no built in water channels. The recent wet winter saturated the ground, and the water has to go somewhere, and it is flowing downhill - though foundations and concrete.
