There will always be an error rate of...

Ok, East Coasters and those from the left side of the country.. Im gonna give you warning.

Ask directions from West Coasters at your own risk.

Last night into the wee hours I had a lovely time exploring the nooks and crannies of Oakland. In the dark and cold.

I was stupid enough to think that people whove lived here all their lives and Bus Drivers, would know of whence they speak.

Bus Drivers.

Dude, I jumped on one bus and the bus driver was asking ME if I knew the route. Im NOT lying. (He was an emergency fill-in for another driver).

Ive been sent on wild tangents by the bus drivers themselves, who often are only vaguely aware of routes and service times EVEN ON THEIR OWN ROUTES.

Again, Im in "no shit, really" land.

And add that to the random instructions Ive gotten from the random folk and you see why Im serious when I say..

Ask directions only if you must, and verify, verify, verify. Get second opinions.

It might even save your life.

At least you'll see new places....

Im more familiar with Oakland now.
